XRACKProduct

Continuous monitoring of rack uprights.

Flexible-electronics sensors on the uprights, a gateway in the warehouse and a web platform with alerts. The system records every impact or overload, quantifies deformation against programmable thresholds and alerts you when the damage is permanent.

Three parts, one system.

Each component is designed to work with the other two: from the steel of the upright to the person who gets the alert.

  1. Part A

    Flexible sensor on the upright

A flexible-electronics strip with detection bands, fitted on the inner face of the upright where knocks are most likely. Its signal changes as the steel deforms.

    • Continuous deformation measurement
    • Elastic and plastic response told apart
    • Thin profile, no changes to the structure
  2. Part B

    Receiver in the warehouse

Collects readings from the sensors in one area of the warehouse and sends them to the software. It is installed inside the building.

    • Groups the sensors of several aisles
    • Sends the data to the software
    • LoRaWAN 868 MHz communication
  3. Part C

    Software with alerts

Shows the state of each upright, classifies every event and keeps the history so inspections and repairs can be planned.

    • Alert per affected upright
    • Elastic or plastic classification
    • Event history for every upright

How it's installed.

On the racking you already use. Every installation starts by getting to know the warehouse.

  1. 1

    Warehouse survey

We review the racking layout and the manoeuvring areas to decide which uprights to fit first.

  2. 2

    Fitting the sensors

Sensors are bonded to the selected uprights, on the existing structure.

  3. 3

    Receiver and connection

We install the receiver in the building and connect it to the software.

  4. 4

    Baseline

We record the initial state of each upright: the reference against which any change will be measured.

  5. 5

    Commissioning

We agree with your team who receives each alert and how it is handled.

When something happens, the right people know.

A knock the upright absorbs is logged as an elastic event, with no alarm. Permanent deformation triggers an alert with the upright's location, in the software and through the channels agreed with each customer.

Who it's for.

  • Warehouse managers

Know at any moment which uprights have been damaged and organise operations accordingly.

  • Safety and maintenance

Receive permanent-deformation alerts and prioritise inspections and repairs on data.

  • Racking inspectors

Arrive at every inspection with each upright's event history.

Shall we look at your warehouse?

We'll show you the system and work out with you how it would fit your installation.
